Floral cuff bracelet · 20-gauge copper

I shaped copper sheet into a sculptural bloom that rises from a broad, open cuff. Through cutting, forming, and layering, I built a flower of overlapping petals, curving their edges to create depth and a sense of unfolding movement. Light catches the raised surfaces and falls into the spaces beneath, emphasizing the copper’s warm tones.

I developed the flower as the defining form of the bracelet, allowing for the petals to extend around the band and shape the silhouette around the wrist. The piece explores how botanical ornament can determine the proportions and presence of an object, with each curve revealing the relationship between material and the hand.
